Tewey McNamee was born and raised in Rocky River, graduating from St. Chris in 1990 and St. Ignatius in 1994 (with Eric Haddad). He lived out of town for the past 20 years, 2 in South Bend and 18 in Chicago, before relocating back home last July.

Tewey is very active and an avid runner. He has logged thousands of miles on the streets of Chicago, including finishing the Chicago Marathon in 2015, 2016 and 2018. Over the years he has also completed half marathons, dozens of shorter races and a triathlon.

More recently, the opportunity presented itself for Tewey to run for a very special charity, The Shanerock Foundation! Rather than running for personal goals and fitness, Tewey is now able to run for something more meaningful and help raise funds to support pediatric cancer.
